moms with babies/children with milk allergy....??
ok so I have been "trying" to see if dd now almost 11mths old iis still allergic to milk so my older girls have these drinkable yogurts so I let her have a taste now and again and she is fine
yesterday she had 2 all by herself and then got a HORRIBLE diaper rash
coincedence or do you think it was from the dairy???
she had very loose poopies and then a rash and was screaming because of the rash (dd never gets a rash)
please shed some light on this for me....I am clueless

Re: moms with babies/children with milk allergy....??
I think it is related.
I tested Josh last week. For the first time in 10 months, his rear was red. It had not happened since we first discovered the allergy.
He is also congested. I did not know if it was a cold or the allergy...so I am stopping for 2 weeks and trying again.
I want him to have dairy in him when I go for his 1 year appt so that I can have his dirty diaper tested.

She definitely sounds like she's still allergic. When you go for her 1 year blood work ask them to do a RAST test. They can usually tell from the results whether or not they will "outgrow" it.
My DD has the IGE antibody which supposedly means she has a lower chance of outgrowing it, however she had such a low score on the RAST test (meaning she has a mild allergy) we still have hope she will be able to tolerate milk products in the future.
What I did not know, is that complete intolerance to milk products will increase your chance of outgrowing it. I never knew that.
