do you bring some food/wine to a jewelry party?

I went to one years ago in my building, and didn't bring anything, it was super casual. but this is in my friends house. just checking/

if someone is hosting a jewelry party and you are invited, in the hope of buying I don't think you need to bring anything. IMO because its not a regular party.

also I would never bring without asking if the host wants or needs anything

If she is a good friend you can ask if she needs help with anything.

I didn't when I attended in the past because I was going to buy something, but I had a wine & cheese themed one & several people brought wine.

In this case, I don't think it matters because the host will be making out from your purchases most likely.

In general though, I don't like to go anywhere empty handed, even if its a cheap bottle of wine or dessert.

I wouldn't if it were a party with a sale because like pp mentioned, she will be making out on it somehow. However, if it's a selling party with only a small group of intimate friends, then I might, if you think the salesperson will leave and it will turn into a girls night out with close friends.
