food to bring to a party that does not need refirgeration

We were invited to a pot luck party at in NYC. The party is in the late afternoon. We wanted to take the kids to see the Christmas windows and to the Columbus Circle holiday fair before going to our friend's place. I need a dish that can travel in my car without refrigeration. Do you have any suggestions? I am already going to bring brownies, but I wanted something in addition to that.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head but I was going to say that if it's cold enough outside, like it's supposed to be this weekend, just put the dish in your trunk. That is what I use as refrigeration for my lunches sometimes in the winter and it's definitely kept very cold.
