Do you bring your DC to activities/daycare with a fever from a vaccine?
DS got a shot yesterday and he ran a fever last night and woke up with a temp of 101.6. I gave him Motrin. He is playing but not really interested in eating. We are supposed to have our first mommy and me class today and I dont know what their make-up policy is. I feel bad if he misses it b/c I think he'll enjoy it. Should I bring him if he is acting himself or keep him home? The fever is def. from the vaccine.

Since the fever is from the vaccine, I would bring him.
Daycare is different though, because I brought Thomas once when he had a slight fever from vaccine that morning. I gave Tylenol and it went down by the time I brought him. I told them he had slight fever that morning from vaccine. They said a fever was a fever and if it went back up they'd have to call me to get him. Luckily, it didn't go back up...

Our daycare rule is "a fever is a fever".
Anything above 100 and they are set home.
I would try the Tylenol but expect to have to pick him up.

It's an 1 1/2 hr. mommy and me program so I will be there with him.

For a mommy-and-me class I think you can bring him but for daycare we would not...the centers usually have policies on fevers and won't allow a child with anything over 100.something so we always keep him home.
But go to the class - you'll be there with him so all is good and he's not sick or anything.

I wouldnt just because you think its from a vaccine, not positive. Not worth infecting others IMO
