Do you buy Light/Fat Free grocery items?
DH went to the grocery store with me i i buy light or fat free for most items and he has been big into organic and all the toxic crap they put into food now and he started saying about how when you buy light food they add more toxins and such to make it light so i should not buy light and just get regular but im trying to lose weight (well after the baby comes but trying to eat not so badly) and stopping buying the light and fat free stuff will not help! Is that true about foods that are light adding stuff to it?

Besides chemicals you need to compare calories. Some fat free things have more sugar to make them taste better.

That i know, im always checking labels to compare calories and sugar content between regular, light and fat free stuff before i decided which one I buy. I read something that said if you cannot pronounce some of the ingredients you shouldn't buy it and it's probably bad for you....is that true? I try to buy organic fruits and chicken and veggies.

I'd say that is pretty much accurate. Generally speaking, the less ingredients the better.
I don't buy fat free products, except for skim milk. As for other dairy products, I do usually buy lowfat or part-skim. Any bread products we buy are 100% whole wheat - no enriched flours. We stay away from artificial sweeteners and look instead for "no sugar added." We try really hard to stay away from anything with high fructose corn syrup, and if "low sodium" is an option, that is what we choose. HTH a little!

we've been working on improving our diet for about a year. we try our best to have as few ingredients as possible. sometimes, that means going with the regular item instead of the reduced fat/light version.

I can honestly say that nothing in our home is 'Lite' or fat free. never have had it.

fat free is bad because they basically do replace it with chemicals or other bad items. i heard most light versions are ok because they are the real product with less of the real bad stuff but also without the fake bad stuff. we go light on mayonnaise, sour cream, mozzarella cheese (basically our dairy ingredients).

Never. I even drink regular milk daily. I can control my portions, I don't need anyone else limiting my fat/calories for me. I truly ENJOY my food when I eat it - no need to have a substitute!
