Do you buy xmas gifts for your friends' kids?
I stopped buying my friends xmas gifts a while ago. I bought my friends' kids gifts last year.
Just wondering if other parents buy their friends' kids gifts for the holidays.

No way. There is no way we could all afford that. They kids get enough as it is. I honestly would rather pool our money toward a family in need than buy for our kids who have more than enough.

We do Secret Santa and get one kid each to buy for. They when have a kiddie party where they exchange gifts, do a craft and decorate cookies. Easier and cheaper that way! I have phased out buying for my other friends' kids because there's just too many now.

Well my BFF, her first son is my Godson, so of course. Her second son I will also buy for. She's like my sister though.
I also shop for my other BF's DD  and for another friend's DD.
No other friends' kids.

I exchange with my 4 girlfriends and their 7 kids. Every year we pick a date in Dec that works for of us and celebrate Christmas. It def adds up money wise but we've been doing it for years...well before I had my boys.

wow! for us, it is just something small as a nice gesture from the kids to each other. I do buy for more than 2 kids though...3 toddlers and 2 babies....but my total spending on them this year was $30. I don't exchange with other friends/kids.

No. I have specific friends in which we exchange gifts for our children. It's only a few friends.
Same here, 3 separate families, 6 kids total.

Only close friends.
My BF's kids (one is my god son though)
My DH's BF son
And this year maybe 2-3 other kids (just something small) with people I Have become really close with and our kids play all the time!~

I bought gifts for three of my friends' kids this year. I'm very close with two of them and we have a play group and the other is a work friend who is on the same"team" as I am and I never bought her son a bris/welcome to the world gift, so I made up for it at Hanukkah.

I was the first of my group of friends to have children. They all bought for DS1 for his first Christmas - I think it was the novelty of a baby in the group.
Now they are starting to have kids. I probably will get something for 1st holidays but thereafter, no way - it gets to be too much, and unnecessary.

I only buy gifts for my 3 closest friends kids. Thankfully each only has 1 kid for now so it's 3 gifts in total.
My friends and I stopped exchanging gifts with each other...instead we end up doing a girls night out. This year we're going ice skating.
