do you eat more than 1 serving of red meat per week?

I just heard that it is not reccommended to eat more that 1 serving of red meat per week I totally eat more than that. My Dh is allergic to chicken and im not a big fish person. So its hard.

eta- pork (most), veal, lamb and of course beef are considered red meat.

we usually have mostly chicken during the week but we have red meat at least once a week.

sometimes but not everyweek. We go in out red meat phases and then the next week, no meat at all!!

Definitely no more or less then once a week for red meat.

I actually am trying to diet so we have been eating some vegetarian meals and then of course the usual chicken.

no, I never eat red meat.
I don't think pork is considered red meat.

i don't eat a lot of red meat during the week. DH doesn't like fish, but we do eat a lot of chicken and pork.

If you are looking to vary - I'd try pork - there's lots you can do with it. Also, I use turkey ground beef instead and have also tried other turkey products - like turkey sausage. I think they taste good!

ETA - I did not think pork was considered red meat.

We only have it once a week, since DH has high cholesterol. But sometimes if we go out to eat we have it more then once.

I usually have more than 1 serving of red meat per meal... We usually have 4+ meals per week with red meat.

I figure that this will follow the egg debacle. Eggs used to be pure evil, then one a day was OK, then only the whites, now they're fine.

Next year, red meat will cure cancer, so I'm hedging my bets that my red meat will fix something, and I'll laugh at the vegetarians who are missing out on this "miracle medicine" buried inside red meat. (And if I'm wrong, at least I'll have enjoyed some tasty meat in the meantime.... )

yeah, but I use lean cuts of beef. I am not worried.

without Red meat, those Geico cavemen couldn't be offended...we'd still look just like them!

I eat it more than once a week. Not all the time, but pretty frequently. DH and I eat organic, and I just got my cholesterol checked and it's fine. So I'm not worried! I will eat my red meat and love it!

yes, on a bad week we probably have it 3x in a week. There's only so many nights you can have chicken!

I don't think pork is red meat. They used to have those commericals "Pork, the other white meat"

And we all know that baby is the other other white meat.

ETA: We don't eat red meat all that much anymore, only b/c my daughter prefers chicken lately and I want to get as much healthy stuff in her as possible.
