Due to our ages we are pretty much done with the wedding circuit.
We flew down to FL last Feb for a HS friend of DH's. I was so sick right up until we had to get dressed.
It cost us $$$$ to fly down there on President's week and wouldn't you know it... 90 days later she told him she wasn't sure if she wanted to be married anymore 
Now, we hear more about divorces than weddings

Honestly, unless it is a very dear friend (and all our close friends are married) or a close relative, I don't even bother going...
Unless you really care about a couple, it's all the same, over and over again....

I enjoy weddings. The showers are another story!!! 
I enjoy both but honestly have not been to TONS and they've been very spread out over the past 12 years!

It really depends on who it is. When I first started dating DH I seriously went to 10 weddings in one summer of people I had never met before....it was awkward b/c I knew NOBODY. Those weddings I did not enjoy.
Now that some of my friends are getting married I am enjoying them a lot more b/c I know the people involved!
