The first year is HARD, especially when you have a baby that doesn't sleep. Take time for yourself - some way or another. All babies go through phases, some phases are tougher than others, you just have to hope the tough phases go quickly!!! It will get easier!

Re: Do you ever have days where you want to scream and pull your hair out? SAHM especially
I have been having a lot of these days as well, I moved from NY to GA, and basically had to find a new social circle on top of being a new mom, I was a nanny for 9 years but always knew at some point I would be finished for the day. Now, I am a SAHM to a 2 year old and an 8 month old and some days I literally find myself so distraught, and upset that I am home all day. What I have found that helps me is that I make it a point to have at least one night out alone, and maybe dinner out after the kids are in bed, DH works terribly long hours especially during tax season, and thankfully very understanding. I try to make myself have down time while both of them nap, and some days its hard because of things needing to be done, I've changed a lot of my ways, such as always having our house perfect, perfect meals, etc. On the weekends we spend Sunday as a family, but Saturday is my day to sleep in a little later, and do my errands. I sometimes consider going back to work, but I know the timing is not right now. On the plus side, I was able to finish my Masters while my first DD was just about one, and now I am working on my Specialist, which takes my mind away some days. Hang in there!
