Do you ever wonder what your boss does all day?
my boss is constantly the reason for serious delays on projects, some of which have resulted in missed opportunities due to their time sensitivity. Like for example (and this one isn't time sensitive but still) I handed her something to review two weeks ago. It's only two paragraphs she needs to read. several times since, she tells me 'she reviewed it last night' or 'i'll have it back today' and I still don't have it. I'm about ready to give up...I've done everything necessary and have it all in a paper trail, plus follow ups with her in a paper trail so there's no way I can be blamed for dropping the ball. What do you think? Would you give up?
I don't really see her sending emails out on stuff she's doing (though she could just not be cc'ing me on anything which wouldn't surprise me since she's a poor communicator.) And, more often then not, she's sitting in her office w/her door closed (doors are glass so i can see in) playing with her hair and talking on the phone. My department is just me and her and I feel like I'm doing all the work. She hardly responds to my emails on top of all that.
Love to hear your thoughts on whether or not I should just give up? It stinks b/c I feel like I"m wasting my time.

I really think it's another time for a sit down with HR.

I really think it's another time for a sit down with HR.
How is the job search going?
We have office IM and I IM'd the HR VP yesterday, asking when she'd have some time to talk with me. She never responded.
Job search....stressful, but thanks for asking. Three places are pending, one of which I know I made the short list for - they began calling references last week but I have heard nothing since, and I've got a phone interview with someone today. I'm doing the best I can to keep my chin up.
God I need to get outta here....

I tried. The HR VP (who already knows there are some issues here b/c I spoke w/her last year) told me that she's very busy and cannot give me the time that I need right now and wants to have me talk to someone else, which I don't want to do. I'd rather wait and I told her that. God knows how long that will be though.... I just want to make sure that the right person hears this; I don't want to take the chance that this other HR person won't relay everything properly. Hate that game of telephone...
