Do you every feel totally OVERWHELMED and
have a meltdown of some sort? If so how, where, and when? Do you do it in front of DC('s)?

YES!!! I try to not meltdown in front of the boys but I have in past times. I try to either walk into the bathroom or wait until they take a nap or when DH gets home at night. I take deep breathes if I can't get away at that moment

Re: Do you every feel totally OVERWHELMED and
IMO its better to be honest about how your feeling with children, even babies, just use much simpler language. "mommy hurts" works when I'm having a bad day ... like today (I had a vent post today).
At least he knows that I'm not so delightful and playful with him because something is wrong with me and not him.
I'm not a melt down kind of person, but I think I kind of did today, I sort of just told him I was sad, and whimpered a little. He showed me his "what shall we do with the boo hoo baby" book and it make me laugh.

Re: Do you every feel totally OVERWHELMED and
YES, esp now that I'm pregnant...the other day I lost it and was hysterical bc I still haven't unpacked my stuff since the move....My legs have been killing me with this pregnancy and wanted my good flip flops as opposed to my old navy ones....I couldn't find them ANYWHERE bc DH just dumped all my stuff throughout every empty room in the house...I called him, lost it on him...DD was nicely playing downstairs while I started to cry and look for my shoes... I am ALWAYS the calm one and not panicked, so I allow myself one of these ever year LOL....I will not do it in front of DD though...She has seen me cry at something on TV and always asks me "mommy are u ok, what happened" it breaks my heart

Re: Do you every feel totally OVERWHELMED and
Good to know I am not alone. I NEVER DO THIS!!! And tonight I totally did, and totally did it in front of Teddy. Who being the best kid EVER came over climbed on my lap and gave me a big hug. He rubbed and patted my back, kissed my cheeks and told me "Mommy it's all gunna be okay. Daddy will be home soon." I didn't have the heart to tell him daddy may be away another week. making me feel even worse

Same here. DH knows I'm having a bad day when I just hand him the baby and go straight to the shower.

Re: Do you every feel totally OVERWHELMED and
DS #2 is 5 weeks old. About 2 weeks ago, I lost it and just broke down and cried in front of DS#1, I just didnt have anything left to give and everyone wanted so much of me. DS was so sweet telling me it was okay and he loved me so much.
That was the first time I totally just broke down. Usually if I need a minute to lose my mind I will go to the bathroom and lock the door and do so in private!

Re: Do you every feel totally OVERWHELMED and
DS was a complete beast yesterday. DH comes home and tells me I only had him for a couple of hours since he had therapies after school. The man is LUCKY to be alive today.
That 2 hours I was on my own with him were TORTURE. I even took the kid with no shoes on and went on a 25 minute stroller walk. It was BAD!!!!
