Do you feel comfortable traveling while pregnant?
I am nervous, we planned a trip to Disney in the middle of May before we knew we were expecting. I will be 12 weeks when it is time to go. Besides worrying about something happening to me while I am in Florida, I am nervous about having MS still while I am there and it ruining the trip. Do you/ would you feel comfortable traveling?

Re: Do you feel comfortable traveling while pregnant?
I wasn't comfortable travelling in my 1st trimester - I was miserable with all-day MS.
I did, however, fly a couple of times in my 2nd trimester without (much) issue. Just drink plenty of water and walk around the cabin as much as you can.

Re: Do you feel comfortable traveling while pregnant?
I thought I would be...but I guess I'm not as comfortable as I thought I was.
We left on a fieldtrip to Charleston, SC yesterday for a field trip with our fifth-grade classes. We are due back tomorrow. Last night, I was running a fever and my heart rate was a little fast--and I was 250 miles from home.
DH wound up coming to get me--luckily, for this trip, the teachers didn't have groups of kids themselves, we were just overseeing the chaperones, so the other 5 teachers were able to pick up the slack for me. But I realized that I'm not as comfortable being away from home as I thought I would be.

Re: Do you feel comfortable traveling while pregnant?
I went on my mini babymoon at the end of last month. I was 16 weeks. I could have travelled earlier and I think I would have had no issues. I never had morning sickness to begin with so I’m no help there. But I was comfortable. Bring lose clothes

Re: Do you feel comfortable traveling while pregnant?
I travel every week for work and many weekends personally.
I travelled from before I got pregnant until my 32nd week a minimum of two round trips on a plane/month, most months I was away for three weeks resulting in three round trip flights.
At 26 weeks we went to Mexico for our babymoon.

I traveled every 2 months up until my last trip at 27 weeks. I went everywhere from Texas to California, NY, Las Vegas and London. Just stay hydrated.

Re: Do you feel comfortable traveling while pregnant?
I am going to Orlando also in May. I am going to be 11 weeks when the time comes. I was planning to go to Universal, but since I can't go on any rides, we will jsut go to Sea World & do other things that are allowed for pregnant women. I mostly want to relax anyway....I can't wait to go...I NEED to get OUT of NY for a while.....
Don't worry, I think we will be fine!

Re: Do you feel comfortable traveling while pregnant?
Honestly? I do not feel comfortable travelling. I get severe motion sickness and must medicate myself to travel when I am NOT pregnant. I would be absolutely miserable travelling unless it was a car trip and I was the driver. We may be doing a road trip to AC or Boston. Haven't decided yet.

Re: Do you feel comfortable traveling while pregnant?
I was totally comfortable traveling at 14 weeks and my friend was only 6 weeks. I'm sure you'll be fine!!! Enjoy!
ETA: My doctor even said that I could take a helicopter ride (I decided against it because it was windy that day, but I would have felt confortable going on a nice calm day)

Re: Do you feel comfortable traveling while pregnant?
I traveled to Florida at 20 weeks i believe it was and then 3 weeks later we flew to Arizona for a week. It was no big deal.
Trust me, do it now because once the baby comes... you won't get the chance.

Re: Do you feel comfortable traveling while pregnant?
Unless you are terribly sick with MS, go and have a good time!!!!!!! I traveled at 18 weeks and 33 weeks last pregnancy and I am in California right now at 22 weeks. The worst part was going to the bathroom 1000x on the plane, other than that it was fine!

I would think in Disney there are plenty of rides I will be able to go on. I hope. Otherwise I'll be on its a small world the whole 5 days ready to jump off that boat!

Re: Do you feel comfortable traveling while pregnant?
The only hesitation I would have is morning sickness/nausea and not being able to go on rides. I would check out what rides you are able to go on before you make the trip and see if you feel it's worth it. I had a friend that went when she was about 15 weeks and she was not a lot to go on rides. I'm not sure if it was all rides or just limited. So I would call or check out their website and see what they say.

Re: Do you feel comfortable traveling while pregnant?
Go and enjoy! I went to visit friends in Nebraska 2 days after I found out I was preggo, so I was only about 5 weeks. Then we went on a babymoon cruise when I was 20 weeks.

Re: Do you feel comfortable traveling while pregnant?
no, DH and I won't be travelling anywhere this year. I really wanted to go on a baby moon, but we'll just wait till baby is a bit older than take somewhere with us
