Went very well...I was stressed because I was making a few things I have never made before...I do this all the time. I decide to make new things when people come over...only adding to the stress

Yes!!! I had my inlaws over tonight for dinner and had to take a xanyx this afternoon because I was out of control!!

Not at all. I like to make sure the house is cleaned but other then that - I don't really get crazed.
In the past two weeks we've had people here for Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day, and last night for my DH's birthday. I am DONE with having company for a LONG time.

i've never really had people over for dinner. people come and hang out and we do coffee and dessert and stuff and that doesnt stress me out. but i think i'd be nervous and stressing over my first sit down dinner too. dont stress kathleen! im sure it went great!

We hosted a wine tasting party about 3 years ago. I was cooking all day and had this strained fake happy look on my face whenever a guest arrived because I was so stressed. I wanted to do too much and I started the party too late. We had 25 guests and I was pouring wine instead of finishing up in the kitchen. We didn't eat dinner until 9:30! I would like to have another party but I will have to simplify the menu and think of shortcuts.

I enjoy having people over very much but I do stress before they come about the place being spotless and about whatever we are having to eat being perfect - it's crazy.

I do when it's OOT family/friends. Since they usually stay with us in our 1br/1bath 850 square foot apartment. I absolutely hate it. I feel so cramped and like I get no away time from them.

I'm glad it went well!!!
I had 8 people for sitdown dinner last night & DH asked me to make lasagna for his birthday, I've made it before but its such a pain. I was stressing but it turned out fine.
