Do you have a fondue pot?
Do you use it a lot? I have 2 and I can't see myself using it that much. Is there a good place for recipes?

Re: Do you have a fondue pot?
I have a simple fondue set. I got it as a gift last year and so far have only used it once. Thankfully it's a set that doesn't take up a lot of space.

Re: Do you have a fondue pot?
I have one and used it a couple of times for dessert. DH is not a big fan of fondue so I can't really use it for dinner - but I would eat it all the time if I could get him on board with it. LOL

I have a simple one and I think I've used it twice. I always wanted one and then when I got it, never really used it

Re: Do you have a fondue pot?
yup! we have DHs parents realy old electric one that they hardly used... we've only used it a couple times for dessert. i LOVE cheese fondue, but it takes so long to cut up all the bread and veggies and stuff and the cheeses are expensive-i'd rather just go to the melting pot for that-lol so we just use it once in awhile for chocolate covered strawberries, etc....

I never use mine; I'm thinking of getting a little fondue cook book or something to motivate me.

I haven't tried it, but there is a pack in the supermarket for classic cheese fondues. You only need to prep the pot and melt the cheese or something like that. I saw it in Waldbaums on the display that has the cheese trays, salami, etc.

Re: Do you have a fondue pot?
we have 2! ( we each had our own) We use it more for cheese than chocolate. I'd use it more often if it wasn't so fattening!
You can buy a fondue cheese packet in the supermarket that you just pour in. It's actually really good. We have made our own ( we have a fondue cookbook) but the packet is good for a quick dinner.

It was yummy & good atmosphere. Definitely try to get a table upstairs or outside though, the main level gets crazy loud.

Re: Do you have a fondue pot?
I got one as a wedding gift... After it staying in the box for over a year, I ended up exchanging it at Crate & Barrel for something I'd use.

It's funny you should ask about Melting Pot...DW and I were just in Tampa, and to celebrate our first date since DD was born (3 months old) we went to Melting Pot (our favorite when we're in Tampa).
Well it turned out that I knew the manager, who gave me the inside scoop that Melting Pot will be opening a couple of locations in the area in the near future...so keep an eye out!

Re: Do you have a fondue pot?
yes - ive used it once and intend to use it again soon
i made a herbed chicken broth fondue with chicken, shrimp and steak and half cooked potatoes and veggies to cook in the pot
then i had dipping sauce like fat free blue cheese dressing, honey mustard, wasabi, etc
it was decent! then you serve crusty bread in it for dipping
