Re: Do you have a lot of family nearby for DC to grow up with?
My family is very fortunate. My brother, sister and I all had our daughters within less then 2 years of eachother. The oldest is my brother's girl, and she just turned 3. Emily is 2 and Sienna (my sister's daughter) will be 2 in February.
The girls are such best friends. Holidays are so fun because they have eachother. My sister and I get together a LOT, my brother and I not as often, but we still see eachother at least once a month.

My immediate fam all live on the same block. But, my siblings don't have children yet.
My cousins are all in LI. I don't see them too much.

Thankfully we do! And not only family for her to grow up with, many longtime friends with children not much older than DD that she will grow up with

Re: Do you have a lot of family nearby for DC to grow up with?
Nope.... DH has a bother who has one child and they live in Houston. We see them maybe 2-3 times a year. DH's sister who lives in Chicago doesn't have any kids.
My family is mostly in NY and some in CA. I grew up with my cousins and other family around and I hate that my kids don't have that. My family is huge and very close.

Re: Do you have a lot of family nearby for DC to grow up with?
We don't have any family near by, my husband is an only child and his parents live about 3 hours away. We have a lot of friends who treat us like family, so we don't feel too bad about it.

Sort of...my bro/SIL & my 2 nieces live in CT, about an hour away.
DH has 3 cousins that are like sisters to him & they all have kids, they live 20 min. away. We see them often.

No-we live OOS. My niece is 1 month younger but we will only get together a few times a year because of the distance. It stinks.
