Do you have a nightlight in DC's room?
We haven't had one in Sarah's room up to this point, but for the past few weeks she wakes up a few times a night scared and screaming for me.
We live on the corner of a somewhat busy road in our development, and this morning she was cuddling with me in our bed and I noticed that she freaked when a truck drove by.
I'm thinking that maybe a nightlight would allow her to see that there isn't anything scary in her room making the noise. DH thinks it won't work. Any thoughts? Thanks!

We have them in the kids' rooms for the same reason. The main lights in their rooms are too bright in the early morning, but I can also see the night lights being useful if they wake up scared when they're older.

We have one so I can see without waking him up. But I wonder if white noise would help w/the outside noise that seems to be scaring her? Maybe a night light too?

Re: Do you have a nightlight in DC's room?
We have a nightlight near DS's room, but that's just so we can see in the hallway if we have to go to his room at night. It doesn't shine in his room at all. I changed the light switches in both DS and DD's rooms to a dimmer switch, so we can turn the light on just a little and not wake them up.

we have one of those flourescent blue ones that cost like .02 cents a year... it provides a soft glow.

We leave the hall light dimmed & their doors open.
We did have the flourescent blue ones too. I think we lost that in the move.
