We have carpet in the bedrooms. I wanted hardwood but DH really prefers carpeting so we went with that. I'm getting used to it now.

Yes, we have wall to wall carpeting, and it helps significantly in the winter/fall when the temps start to drop, it keeps the warm air in the room.
In my house growing up, we had hardwood floor with throw rugs, and I was always cold, but I grew used to it.
Do what makes you both feel happy.

We did carpet...but only because the wood floors were really bad and we didn't have the $ to fix them up when we bought the house. I grew up with carpeted bedrooms too.
We are converting our attic to a master BR and we are doing wood floors. I'd rather that with an area rug.

we have carpet in the bedrooms and I WISH we had hardwood- we have hardwood everywhere else and I love it- when we change the room over we might do hardwood in the MB...

There is not a single piece of carpet in our entire house. It's all original hardwood
same here. We have an area rug under our dining room table and in our living room, but other than that, all hardwood.

We have carpets in our bedrooms and wood floors on our entire 1st floor and staircase.
While I like the look of hardwoods, I like the warmth of carpet!

Yes, we do. We replaced the carpet when we moved in.
If wood floors were already there, we would have left them and got a large area rug.
Yup, same with us.

Carpets in all bedrooms and basement, nowhere else. I personally prefer carpeting in bedrooms, but hardwood floors also look nice!
