Do you have one of THESE teachers at your school?

being that most of us will have PD tomorrow, I was wondering if anyone shares my pain.

There's a teacher in my school who just HAS to complain complain complain or just say something about EVERYTHING at EVERY SINGLE staff meeting. It gets to the point where she is arguing with the Admin, gets off topic and delays the info the admin wants to share with us, thus leading to ANOTHER staff meeting where she continues to do the same.

I used to not mind PD days but having her there makes me and all the other teachers. One of the teachers actually grabbed me today and said let's agree not to ask any questions unless ABSOLUTELY necessary, because we just want to get the info, do what we can with it and go home.

So does anyone have one of THOSE teachers in their school?

More than one! lol. So annoying!!!

Yes! A few of these come to mind, but it's not so much as it is because they are hilarious! Although they are complaining they do it in such a funny way that everyone is cracking up because they use dry humor & sarcasm to do it... so seeing the administrators trying to deal with that & getting all flustered is priceless!

ugh...we had a faculty meeting today, and i was dreading it, because of course, when the principal was like "any questions" the hand flew up.

I felt like running over and being like "you raise that hand and you get cafeteria duty ALL year!!!"

THOSE teachers have no lives

I don't have anyone in my school specifically like that, who consistently does that at ALL meetings, but of course at every meeting, there are random teachers here and there that just have to get a word in ....... If I have questions, I wait and ask them privately if it's that important- unless it's a yes or no answer.

Normally on these PD days, by the time they ask if there are any questions, I zoned out 30 minutes ago

I personally think it is RUDE

Even if the PD stinks and doesn't apply to me (which it never does bc I am a guidance counselor)..I listen, engage, and try to participate. It is the APPROPRIATE thing to do as a professional.

I have noticed sometimes teachers make the worst students
