Do you have to order costco birthday cakes in advance?
We already had DS's birthday party 2 weeks ago but DS's actual birthday is on Monday. My parents are taking DS for the weekend and want to do a little bday party for him.
Do you have to order the cake in advance?
Or will they be able to just swing by on sunday morning and pick one up with no advance notice?

I believe the paper says you have to order 24 or 48 hours in advance.

I'm sure you could swing by and pick up a cake (there are always some premade ones in the fridge) but if you want someone to write Happy Birthday on it or whatever, I would order in advance just to be on the safe side. Costco and BJs are always mad houses (at least the ones I've been to) and it isn't always easy to find someone in the bakery area.
