She just started doing it recently. Actually for her 1 year birthday she got a little dollhouse with little figures for it and my DH would play with it with her and make the figures give eachother a smooch. Since then she's been making the smoochy noise. She started doing it by kissing her dolls and characters in her books first, and now she realized she can kiss us too.

OMG! I kissed almost every square inch of my guys when they were babies! lips, toes, noses, ears, nuzzle their necks.... they never got tremendously sick and it bonded us. Take your Aunt with a grain of salt. YOU are the mommy and you love you baby... that makes you a GREAT mother!

From the moment he was put in my arms I have been kissing him on the lips. MyDH wasnt used to that, but he does kiss him that way now.
I love it when you ask for and kiss and you get the long MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAUH

My SIL kisses her babies on the lips all the time. I grew up like this too. I see nothing wrong with it When I have my babies I will do it too.

Most of the time yes. If I feel like I'm coming down with something or if he is then no. I'm getting better though. Now I kiss his neck but realized I was leaving hickey's

Ditto! I don't ever think there is anything wrong with teaching a child love and affection. When it is appropriate we will teach her that lip kisses are saved for only certain people at certain times.

Absolutely!
I did it with my oldest and now with the little one.
When my son wanted to kiss other people on the lips, I explained that it is not okay. Only mom & dad kiss you on the lips. Now, that he is older, I don't kiss him on the lips that much. Only when he comes to kiss me on mine.

Yup! DH and I figure that he will reach a certain age where he won't let us any more. Let's do it while we still can!! I kiss his lips, tummy, toes, bottom of his feet, cheeks, neck, ears. At his age of 3 months, what is the difference?
I still kiss my parents on the lips. Dh says that boys don't.  I grew up with a sister so I don't understand why not. We are just the type of family that does. It isn't "that kind" of kiss with family.

I had to laugh when I read the topic because I had a flashback to when I did. When Logan was a few months old, dh's grandmother scolded me for it. She said she hated when my BIL did that too (dh's sister's husband).

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I am noticing now that hes a bit older that when someone asks for a kiss, he goes straight for the lips  so we have begun cheek kissing

Honestly, never on the mouth for either of my kiddies. All over, but not mouth.
same here, once in a blue moon.
yes it melts my heart, but i just wasnt brought up kissing on the mouth

Me three! Ive always kissed Julia on her lips, so does DH. I wouldn't want anyone else to, but its funny when my family askes Julia for a kiss she bends her head down---lol (kiss this instead)

Sometimes...When I say "Give mommy a kiss" He'll hold my head and go straight for the lips. Sometimes I turn my head so he can kiss me on the cheek, but he tries to turn my head.

no never on the mouth, not b/c of germs though mainly b/c the few times I've tried that it's a completely drool filled experience, yuk! So, everywhere else (cheeks head, tummy, etc.) but not on the slimey drooly mouth.

I have never kissed my son on the lips. HE tried to kiss me and it was all drooly. I don't think it is bad if you do. I just don't.

we always kiss on the lips- and so do some of our family members- Im not to crazy about family members kissing so much but as mor Dh and I- we are entitled he is our baby
