Do you know anyone that still has a rotary phone?
I had to drop something off at a friend of my in laws and was surprised to see a rotary phone...and thats the only one they have!

My in laws have one in their house...it's just an old one that they never updated. It works but they rarely use it - they have like 3 cordless phones around the house.

That I get but this was these peoples only phone...they don't like cordless or touchtone and are holding unto rotary till the day they meet the big guy

So funny you say this because when that happened, DH and I were not yet married and the only way we could get in contact with one another was through landlines. So I had to go down into our basement with a flashlight looking for a spare and lo and behold, I found one to use!!!

I still have the one that was in my parent's bedroom, but not hooked up. When I have a house, I plan to use it somewhere. I still like talking on that receiver better than any other phone

There is still one in the basement of my parents' house, hooked up and everything. I used to use it when I was a teenager when I wanted privacy before I was allowed a phone in my own room.

My parents do but it is an antique! They don't have it hooked up, it is only for show!
We also have one at our summer house on the wall. We never use the phone there, so it is nostalgic of when my grandpa built the house!

My Dad
He worked for the phone company for 30 years too
He was right to keep it. It's outlasted all other phones we bought for at least 25 years, has the best voice clarity, and doesn't go out in a power outage but yes, it's a pain to dial out from so it's not used for outgoing calls.
