I heard someone at work the other day say that they were going to get divorced when they retired because they would get more social security that way
OMG I heard someone say that once too! I don't even think it's true that that can happen! People are so gross.

I've met and heard of people who do. My aunt's ex- used to do it...drove everyone insane. Turns out he was schizophrenic all along...ironically, now that he has a REAL disability, he has been struggling to get the benefits!
I had to apply for medicaid several years ago for my first pregnancy because the company I worked for was too small and had no health insurance...I felt so guilty because I wasn't "poor" but at the same time, thrilled that there was something there to help me. I barely qualified...I think something like 10 cents more an hour and I would've been turned down. I worked and legitimately paid taxes so I finally learned to feel "justified" using the assitance. It disgusts me when I see people who milk it and lie.
