sleep with poopie diaper, do you wake them to change it? What if they are groggy and having trouble going back to sleep, do you risk rousing them by changing it? Or find another way to get them to sleep.

No, I'd risk waking to change it. A wet diaper on the other hand, I'd wait for.

I'd change it if I knew it was dirty, I'd hate for her to get a bad rash!

While I hate to change a groggy baby, poops are always changed and then I put her down and let her whine herself back to sleep. Pee I don't change.

If I know there is poop in there, it is changed immediately. DS is usually good about crying once he poops (even in the nighttime).

More often than not though, he poops during the day.

DS usually wakes when he poops and doesn't poop during the night so it's never been an issue.

DS has slept through the night since 8 weeks old and I have never gone in to check his diaper. He usually poops during his one hour back to sleep time (right after his morning bottle) and when he wakes up I change him then give him his solid breakfast.
