Do you like the name of your street?
I do, even though NOBODY can ever say it right-its a big american indian word that ends with an X. I always have to spell it for people. And its not street or lane...its Trail. Every street in my neighborhood is trail. I like it though because it suits the history of my little community, it's very unique & I have a some american indian heritage. There is one street in my neighborhood that has a name that I would not want to live on.

I love mine, in lay man's terms it means fruit flavored beer.

Re: Do you like the name of your street?
Mine is a pain - it's Dianne St. and some brainiac came up with the idea of having a Diane St. and a Dianne St...both in Seaford! So I always have to spell it out and make a big deal about the second N...

Re: Do you like the name of your street?
I love our current street address - even though people can't pronounce it.
I may be odd, but street name is pretty important to me - I don't like avenue's and prefer drive's and lane's. There have been houses I wouldn't even look at based on the street name. (That last part sounds kooky but based on descriptions and photos, I wasn't missing much by not going )

Re: Do you like the name of your street?
I like it, it's okay. It just drives me nuts that no one can say it because it's also the name of a very well known area of Brooklyn. My kids are going to have a heck of a time learning to spell it though.

I like my street name.
This is funny since there was another house that we almost bid on, but I said, you know I cannot spell Phesant (sp?) correctly so I don't want to live there. So we ended up not bidding on it.

Re: Do you like the name of your street?
My street can be a pain to tell people over the phone.
It sounds similar to RADIO.... so everyone always think I live on RADIO. I have to spell it out for them just to be safe.

Re: Do you like the name of your street?
My street name has a story behind it. THis is the look I get when I tell people my address: Then I have to spell it and tell them its two words. Very simple words, just weird to have together!

My street is a man's name but it also sounds like another name so I always have to spell it out and I always have to say STREET because there is a COURT also with the same name

Re: Do you like the name of your street?
I dont mind it. Though it took me a few months to spell it correctly. The last 4 letters are "B-u-r-y" and I kept spelling it "B-e-r-r-y" or "B-u-r-r-y".

Re: Do you like the name of your street?
I like ours enough, but up here there are so many roads with really cute, quaint names. Ours is blah in comparison.
But there's an Aunt Hack Road not too far from us. We haven't figured that one out yet. DH things that Lizzie Borden Drive has to be close to it.

Re: Do you like the name of your street?
I sold a house on a street that was a male first name.
I bought a house on a street that's an Irish last name.

Re: Do you like the name of your street?
I grew up in the Indian street section of Commack and no one could ever pronounce the streets in my area (ex. Iroquois, Sioux, Alquoquin), so I know what you mean.
Now, I live on Crag, but everything thinks it's Craig. Somehow we still get the mail addressed to Craig though.

LOL, the street behind my parent's house is Pheasant Lane, that's where my bus stop was as a kid and I could never spell it either.
