I used to live on Locust street & hated it! 
I have no feeling either way for my current street.
My grandparents used to live on Book Lane, which I always thoguth was so cute! 
Book Lane in Levittown? That's where my SIL used to live.
Yes! They lived there from about 1951 to 1984.

I actually grew up on the other side of Gardiners (both of my brothers married girls from the neighborhood.)

I didn't like the street name of our old house in NY. It sounded like you were trying to say another name but with a brooklyn accent. Our house now is fine - I like it better than some of the other ones in the neighborhood.

Mine is a pain - it's Dianne St. and some brainiac came up with the idea of having a Diane St. and a Dianne St...both in Seaford! So I always have to spell it out and make a big deal about the second N...

Mine is weird, because everyone can never spell it.

I apparently am destined to live on streets with REALLY long names, so they never fit on those address lines on ANY forms. My old address was the best though! People never thought it was real or would laugh hysterically when I'd say it. Fort Salongites or Northportians would know it right away (think food and dairy on a log)

i used to live on plymouth drive in massapequa but there was a plymouth road too! it used to drive us crazy!

i used to live on Wisteria Lane in wantagh - which i always loved!!
DH grew up on Daleview Ave,
both were great
now we live on "Periwinkle" my husband was like great a fairy name!! there is a "Cool" lane by us he always says why couldnt we buy a house on Cool Lane!!
I say Periwinkle is better than the other house we looked at..... SWALLOW!!! well he may have liked it but i wouldnt have!!!

I've been cursed with bad names for streets... growing up I lived on "schenck" avenue... yup, you heard me right. SCHENK. Now, I live on Bethan. Not so bad, but my name is Beth, so everytime I give my address, some dope says, haaaaaaaaa, Beth living on Bethan! Dingbats.

I got it!
I grew up also in the 'northport" area and all the streets were named after Presidents, which is pretty cool.
I like my street name now too.
