Do you order your deli meat "sliced thin"?

I always order it "VERY thin" and when I was in the grocery store I heard the guy next to me order his "sliced thick". In all the years that I've been grocery shopping, that was the first time I have heard that!

What is it about thin-sliced deli meat... is it me or does it taste better? DH thinks i'm crazy and could care less how his cold cuts are sliced.

Yes! and cheese too!!!! if its too thick, i dont like it.

I don't specify with meat, but I ask that they slice the cheese on the thick side so that it doesn't stick together. I HATE when cheese sticks

Yes! I always say "paper thin." I can't eat cold cuts if they are thick. Blecchh.

yup, mine have to be thin! i even ask for cheeses like havarti that really stick to be sliced thin.

I think it taste the same to me.
I like to order my cheese thick because I hate when it sticks to each piece

I usually ask for sliced thin but absolutely insist if it's Morthadella.

That's the way my father always gets it. If it's any other way it's gross to me.

Sometimes people order deli cold cuts thick because they are making chef salads. Thats what I used to do.

Yup, only boars head for me too! Although I tried the Thumann's ham and it's pretty good.

I order the cold cuts "Lingerie thin" The men usually crack up, but I never get anything too thick!!!

Always thin except if I order turkey to make a specific recipe where I roll it up with stuffing, then it is on the thick side.

I always order it medium cut. I hate it when the turkey is so thin that it tears when you try to pick it up. I can never get a full slice then it tears and shreds.

OMG yes, I tell them to shread it, I hate thick meat, (cold cuts of course )

I dont know if they call it that here, but when I worked in a deli in MD we ordered it "chipped" (like shredded)

I always get all of my deli stuff sliced thin - I don't like biting into thick meat or cheese

I have to have it thin sliced too. DH thinks I am nuts. To me it tastes better. JMHO

except turkey breast, I hate when it starts to crumble from being too thinly sliced.

Depends on what it is. Ham yes, liverwurst, no.
