Do you put Onesies under every piece of clothing?

My daughter is 3 and half months and I have her in footed one piece outfits but should I also put a onesies underneath it??

I do. I guess I always saw my mom do it with my little brother and sister, so I followed suit.

i9 times out of 10 i put on a white onesie underneath.

I do. I was tired of ruining whole outfits when DD was young. If she ruined a onsie, it was easier to wash/replace it.

At 16 months, I still do it. I also don't like seeing the top of the diaper coming out of pants.

My DD is almost 3 months, while I didn't do it in the summer, I'm doing it now cause its getting colder

I didn't in the summer, but I will do it for the winter months. I know that their belly & back won't be exposed to the cold air

I do - even now! I personally don't like it when t-shirts and stuff ride up and his belly and back are exposed.

I did up until the summer when she was about 9 months old. But in the beginning-yes, under everything.

Not in the summer, but started now since the weather is cooler

Never have...drives my mother nuts. Might consider it come the wintertime but probably not...maybe under a sweater only....

In a footed one-piece, no - but I always have a onesie on if he's wearing a shirt/pants outfit.

DS was born in December. I put onesies underneath his clothes during the winter and spring. I stopped when the weather got warmer.

DS was born in Aug., so not during the summer but we put them on during the colder months..

I did for a while (mostly in cool/cold weather) I would say up until recently and DD is 2. Now that it's getting cool again I'm going to see if I can find any in big sizes.

not over the summer, but now I do - just another layer of warmth

i guess i'm the exception to the rule - no we never have. she's ALWAYS hot...

now that it's getting cooler - we'll consider it - but it will all be about her comfort.

with dd#1 all the time, b/c she was a fall baby and the weather was colder...so far with dd#2, i haven't - the weather was warmer...not sure now that its fall....

Nope, usually just under shirts in the winter if it's really cold out. I like that it covers her belly & back from a draft, you know?

I did with my DD but my DS is such a hot baby, that he would fry.

I guess that I am the minority - never did with either DD and I am not planning on starting now.

I used to, until the weather got warm. Now they are 9 months, and I haven't been putting onesies under their long sleeved clothes. I might as the weather gets colder.

I never did.

She wore onesies under short sleeve shirts because folks bought me stuff out of season or it looked cute. Generally tho, she had little sweaters to wear. I never put anything under her sleep and plays. hrm.. never even thought about it all winter long.

ETA: AJ got warm so fast and she HATES to be warm, cries, squirms and fusses. So I think that's our reason. She hates being overly warm.

i always did... ds is out of onsie sizes which i hate becuase he is still just a crawler and belly on hardwoods... not a good sound... so now he typically has an undershirt underneath
