In a footed one-piece, no - but I always have a onesie on if he's wearing a shirt/pants outfit.
same. I don't put a onesie under a bodysuit outfit either.

i guess i'm the exception to the rule - no we never have. she's ALWAYS hot...
now that it's getting cooler - we'll consider it - but it will all be about her comfort.
you're not the only one. i have 2 kids, and neither one ever had the onsie underneath their clothes. they always say to dress similar to what you would wear and the thought of wearing an extra layer kills me, i'm always hot. i would however put the kid in a long sleeve shirt way before i would wear them myself, and usually put a jacket over the clothes if it was seriously cool out, but never the onsie underneath.

I put one one under everything. Most of his clothes have some kind of embroidery or buttons and I feel like they would be itchy for him.

I still do it after almost 2 years. I feel like it holds the diaper in place. There were times that I did not do it at the beginning when he was so tiny that even preemie clothes were hanging off of him (which surprised me because he was not the smallest of preemies by any means).

I did when she was younger in the winter.
Only because she would squirm and her shirt would ride up and I didn't want her to be cold.
Now, I don't remember the last time I put a onesie on her!

I put onesies on DD under just about everything until we started potty training. I loved the fact that they held the diaper in place and kept the overall look neat. Even under a one piece outfit, I think the bodysuit helps keep diapers from shifting.

I didn't in the summer, but I will do it for the winter months.
Me too. The only time DD does not have one on is when she goes to bed. She is warm blooded so a onesie under her pjs would make her sweat.

i always do, except in the summer..we started again a week or two ago..and she will at least wear short sleeve ones unless its VERY cold..

DS was born in December. I put onesies underneath his clothes during the winter and spring. I stopped when the weather got warmer.

Same here but DS was born in Oct. I'll start doing it soon when the weather gets a little colder. DS is a very warm baby and sweats all the time.

With DD#1 I always put a onesie on her in the chilly/cold weather. She is now 3 and using the potty so I won't use onesies anymore but I did buy her cami-style undershirts for the winter.
With DD#2, I haven't used them yet b/c she was born in May. I plan to start, but have not fully decided what to do yet b/c she is a very hot baby, and is often sweating already when I pick her up, especially after sleeping.
