Re: Do you read to your children?
Guess i'm in the minority, I dont read to Jacob. I've tried, he is just sooooooooooooooooooo not interested. I cant even get thru the first page, he is ripping the pages and is squirming to get off my lap. Oh well, I will try again when he is a bit older.

I read to my son, who is 2-1/2, every night for bed. It's part of our routine. he loves books, he actually sits and reads them aloud too.
I don't read to my DD yet. she is only 5 monhts but I will start soon. It really helps them to learn.

Re: Do you read to your children?
I tired reading to Kevin when he was younger but he always would push books away and wouldn't sit still for them - he had no interest. Once he learned to turn pages himself - he would read himself but still never let me read to him. Now we look at books together several times a day and can for 30minutes straight but only when he wants and we do more pointing out what we see in the pictures - he still won't sit still for me to read to him. I wanted it as part of our bedtime routine but he won't have it!!
