Do you shop at Garage Sales?
If so, how do you come across them?
Do you look them up? If so where?
Do you just drive by and stop?
We are setting one up for this weekend and I want to have the best exposure I can. Thanks!

I dont Garage Sale very often..but every once in awhile DH will get the urge to bargain shop...
I look in Newsday...CraigsList..Pennysaver..AND...then while we are going to these Garage Sales we'll stop on ones we see signs for.

That's where we get our gsale list from.
We used to go every saturday but with gas prices the way they are we may not be going as much this summer.

i go!
not as often as i would like.
i go with a friend. she seems to love researching them, i don't have a clue where she looks.
mostly, i follow her lead or go to the ones i come across when driving in town.
for me: with the bad economy, this might be the way i do all my shopping this spring/summer

My block had one & our neighbor listed it in the Penny Save and then had her kids put signs up all over the neighborhood. There were alot of people that showed up !

If I see something that catches my eye when I'm passing I'll stop. Usually that Little Tikes or Step2 stuff for the backyard that I can wash down.

For tools, yes. You can find a lot of older people that are moving to Florida or into condos or assisted living where they don't need their tools anymore.
When we first got our house we got some great deals. A 30 piece ratchet set for 2 dollars. 2 ladders for 10 dollars. I'm always on the lookout for a wheelbarrel.
It's not like clothes that would freak me out, or furniture that would never be my taste. I could care less if someone used tools before me, as long as they are in good working order.

Not usually... but not because I find the stuff gross, but because I always feel really uncomfortable with the people watching me rumage thru their old crap.
A few years ago my aunt (who's a HUGE g-saler) took me and my mom out to the Hamptons for some garage sales... AMAZING stuff!!!!!

I try, but I think anything good goes on craigslist...where I buy a ton of things.
Getting deals on things is great...then when I am done with the item, sell it for what I bought it for.
I am trying to get my head into a waste not mode.

They have some crazy garage sales out here... the people that come out for the summer have their "help" sell everything at the end of the season  Sometimes the stuff still has tags on it! I kid you not! 
I go to garage sales once in a while, I don't buy clothes and stuff like that.. maybe gently used kids toys or outside furn. things like that.

Im not much for the garage sales. I get skeeved by them. I know people have gotten good things at them, but i just cant do it.
Plus i dont have the patiences to host them either. I just toss the stuff out.

I look them up on Craiglist, Newsday and the penny saver and other throw away papers.
My mom and I love checking them out! I have gotten some great stuff! As a kid I loved finding sort of vintage toys no one else had
