Do you surprise DH with his gifts or do you let him pick?
I don't know if I should let him pick a watch, or if I should design it myself at the fossil website (thye have a "watch bar" where you can mix and match faces with bands).

I try to surprise him but most of the time he guesses what I bought... plus once the gift is under the tree it is a fair game - he will shake it, touch it, he is just like a little kid...

I have to surprise him because I ask him and he tells me that he doesn't know what he wants or says he doesn't need anything. Does anyones DH say that?

I usually know the one thing he really wants, so I get that, then I try to surprise him with the rest.

Our big gifts are not surprises. He knows he's getting a home theater system, he picked it out, because it has to be a certain one. And me, I want a new digital camera and he doesn't know the first thing about cameras, so I picked it out. But then there are the little things we get each other that will be surprises!!

A combination- neither of us is into "big ticket" things at the moment- we both end up with a mix of smaller things- clothes, DVDs, CDs, books. We both have Amazon wish lists and we both buy for each other from that, and supplement with a few other surprise things.

He's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BORING!
All he wants is DVDs. That's it. Nothing else. Not even one other thing.
