We bought our house with the intention of moving in 10 years or so.
It's by no means a "starter home" - it has 4 bedrooms, full basement, 3 full bats, great yard. But - it doesn't have some things that we want. A garage. A huge kitchen. We could always dormer down the road and add those things. We may do it - who knows. I guess we'll see where we are 10 years from now!
ITA. My house is large enough to stay in forever, but there are some things I want that this house doesnt have - we are on the 5 year plan (in year 2); so in three years we are going to decide if we want to stay; move; or add to this house.
