I can't understand why anyone will complain. I do not have any problem with the rules because it is being implemented to protect us and to keep us safe.

I don't think anyone should complain about something like that. Shampoo?!?! You can buy it when you get there.
People need to realize that this is the world we live in now and it's better for all of us to be more cautious.

Re: do you think people have a right to complain about the new regulations in airports after the recent terrorist attempt?
I think that a lot of people didn't know what had happened and HAD to just throw away hundreds of $$ of products. I would comply, but I might not be happy about having to throw away $150 worth of stuff.

Re: do you think people have a right to complain about the new regulations in airports after the recent terrorist attempt?
I think a lot of it is people hate change... especially when it makes something more difficult for them... Is it for their own good that these regulations went in to place? Yes...
I just think a lot of it is anxiety from the change and what's going on.

I agree with this statement 100%
Is it more of an inconvience to pack these items and check your luggage, especially for short trips? Of course.... but I'd rather the slight inconvience than having my life at stake.

Heck no. Suck it up and get over it. Shampoo, mouth wash, etc. Can all be replaced. Who cares about possessions or wasted money when we are talking life and death ??

Re: do you think people have a right to complain about the new regulations in airports after the recent terrorist attempt?
honestly- it's an inconveinence and I would have been pi$$ed if I was caught off guard-- but anyone who travelled this afternoon and beyond that should have had the right info to pack appropriately.
I'd rather be inconvenienced than be blown up over the atlantic..
I do have to say that after traveling last week, and I JUST got home from a business trip this AM at 5 30-- I am damn happy I missed all this. I got off the plane at Newark and the place was chaotic-- I didn't know what was going on til I got home..

Re: do you think people have a right to complain about the new regulations in airports after the recent terrorist attempt?
IMO, tough! deal with it.
this is the world we live in and it has lots of terrorists in it who kill indiscriminately.
I hate when I hear people complain for being searched at the airport and say "do I look like a terrorist"?

I would rather stand online the extra hour or two and be safe than be on a plane that could blow up.

I agree that they should check it if they don't want to lose it, but just had to comment Tom...because NO ONE wants to be on a "hijack or blown up plane"... It's not just "these complainers"...

Re: do you think people have a right to complain about the new regulations in airports after the recent terrorist attempt?
I can totally see where people walking into an airport not prepared for what happened today would complain. Security lines a quarter mile long that take 2 - 4 hours to get through, missing flights because of that, throwing out personal items, having some flights cancelled, etc.
I understand why these measures are necessary but I just saw a homeland security person say they knew liquid explosives could be a risk and can easily get through security before today. It was $$$ that kept them from taking these extra security measures before now.
Maybe now that bags are being handsearched more thoroughly matches can be added to the list of banned items in a carry on.

Re: do you think people have a right to complain about the new regulations in airports after the recent terrorist attempt?
I was complaining today - not because of the regulations or being put out of my way. I am SO grateful to be protected.
I was complaining about these terrorist A**holes who make it necessary for these new regulations. Seriously, I don't know why, but I was so ANGRY this morning when I heard about this latest plot.

I can't even comprehend why people would complain-this is for OUR safety-I'd rather check my shampoo and conditioner than have some psycho blow the plane up b/c they were allowed to bring theirs on board

Re: do you think people have a right to complain about the new regulations in airports after the recent terrorist attempt?
The shampoo thing doesn't bother me. IMO that does not need to be a carry on and is only a $4 item if lost. But I am flying to CA with my daughter next month and things that I am bothered by are no laptops, I-Pod's, digital cameras, cell phones, alarm pads for cars, etc. I don't want to put my laptop in my suitcase. What happens if my suitcase gets lost. Then not only do I have to worry about losing my laptop but I'm also in school for an online program for school. I can't be without my laptop for a couple of days.
I understand we pay a price for our freedom. And yes I agree that being slightly inconvienced is better than being dead but in today's technology advanced world where we rely so much on these items that are not allowed as carry-ons, I just don't know how a lot of people are going to do it. If this is what has to occur from now on, then so be it. But the airlines better get a better handle on people's luggage because now people are putting very expensive items in their luggage and items that they will need as soon as they land.
