If it's a photo christening thank you that has a handwritten message, I think it's fine.

I agree! someone was telling me that they were just sending a card with a just a printed thank you verse on it and she wasn't going to write anything. i was just wondering what people thought. BTW I love your profile pic!!!

Re: do you think that a photo christening thank you card is rude?
I wanted to do a photo card but was thinking about this issue, also. So, I ordered note cards from shutterfly. On the front was a picture and underneath was printed "Thank you for celebrating my Baptism Day with me." and then inside I wrote each person a personalized note. They were a big hit.

JMHO I think it's impersonal not to add a handwritten note for any type of card, thank you or holiday. I usually try to write something, even if it's just writing the name of the person you are sending it to.

I think it is a little impersonal. Definitely not my cup of tea.
We printed note cards from Shutterfly. The front was a pic of DC on the Christening day and I wrote a little note on the inside.

Re: do you think that a photo christening thank you card is rude?
I think ANY thank you should be personalized. My friend sends out a picture card of her DD that just has a picture and typed thank you. She doesn't even write TO so and so...
I think it's rude. Don't bother sending one if you aren't going to even write TO So and so....at the very least.

Re: do you think that a photo christening thank you card is rude?
I think that if it just says thank you for celebrating my special day printed and nothing else than yes. But I don't see anything wrong with a printed card IF you write a personal thank you message in addition to the printed line. I think thank yous should always be personalized.

Re: do you think that a photo christening thank you card is rude?
IMO, I don't think it's a big deal, I did the photo thank you and everyone loved and appreciated it. At least a thank you was sent out, i doubt it matters if you wrote it out personally or typed it up.

I did the same for both kids too...I thanked them for spending the day and also for the generous gift.

I sent my DS's baptism thank yous without a personalized message...I did feel kind of guilty about it, but I did it anyway...It really saved me a ton of time. Hopefully I didn't offend anyone...

I think it's perfectly fine...but then again I'm in the minority and think way too much stress is put on thank you cards.

Re: do you think that a photo christening thank you card is rude?
Not writing anything on a TY for any event is a HUGE peeve of mine....
But I will say, a wedding is the worst.......your guests spend a lot of time and $$$ to be there, start writing!!!!!!
If you don't write on a baby TY, it get's overlooked pretty quickly.....

I think a hand written not along with the photo thank you is appropriate.

Re: do you think that a photo christening thank you card is rude?
Sort of. My cousin did them and it was a picture of the three of them and then a "Thank You" on the side. It was a nice design - Martha Stewart/Kodak Gallery. I guess I should be happy I got a thank you, but I thought it was very impersonal. At the least, she could have written then names on it in marker.
