Do you think this is a side effect from the Chicken Pox Vaccine?
DD had 3 shots on Tuesday morning. Her second flu shot (no reaction to the first), her final hepatitis (no reaction in the past) and the chicken pox.
Well she got a weird rash on her leg, but not the leg with the chicken pox and was running a fever of 102.7 last night. She wasn't really crying - she was actually talking in her sleep going "uh -oh" "uh-oh" over and over again. So I went in and felt her and she was really hot.
She's down to 99.7 this morning, but that's probably because I've been giving her Tylenol every 4 hours. The rash is improving.
Has this happened to anyone else?

I was told a definite fever and it could happen up to 3 days after the shot is given. Andrew had a pretty bad reaction to this shot I didn't even want him to get it but since he is around other school age children, I thought it was good to get it now

I don't think it's a reaction from Chicken Pox because the vaccine is a live vaccine and the incubation period for chicken pox is 2-3 weeks. It would be unusual to have a reaction within a couple of days. I would give the Dr. a call to be sure though.

I don't think it's from the vaccines, but it wouldn't hurt just to call ped and make sure. I always call my PED if something pops up out of the ordinary after giving vacs just to be sure.
My DD had the combo MMR/chicken pox at her 1 year appt and no side effects for her.
