Do you think you look like what your ethnicity is??? And what do people always guess you are???

My mother is 100 percent Cuban, born in Cuba. My dad is Italian 100%. People always ask me if I'm Russian. Huh?!

My peeve is when people say, "You don't look Spanish!" What are Spanish people supposed to look like? JLo? Please! My mother is from a part of Cuba where people are fair and blond.

I think I absolutely look like what I am, Irish-Italian

ETA: Although when i was dating a Puerto Rican guy, people thought I was PR, and FH is Jewish, but unrelated to that, people from Hillel were always approaching me.

I don't think I look Puerto Rican OR Jewish

I think I look Italian.

But, people ALWAYS approach my while speaking Spanish. I have NEVER had an Italian approach me while speaking Italian.

my dad is irish and scottish and my mom is norwegian. i look like my dad, but no one can tell that i am irish.
not to offend anyone, but i'm always always always asked if i am jewish. i'm irish catholic.

People are CONSTANTLY approaching me in public speaking Spanish to me. I assume its because of my hair.

I am Italian and German though. Since its a mix I couldnt say that I look like either one would look.

i am half italian and half irish and i am told all the time i look greek. so i would say i dont think i look like my ethnicity too much.

im pretty much just white! lol

my moms side is all french-canadian.
and believe eit or not, they do have a "look". my whole family looks like Celine Dion.

as far as my biological fathers side. i believe its irish and perhaps alittle italian but im not 100% sure.



i feel like i just look white. ive been asked everything from italian to puerto rican

I am half italian half polish, everyone guesses italian off the bat. It was funny, when I was younger I was in some polish beauty pageant..well..I didn't win..probably because I didn't look the slightest bit polish...like all the other gals in the pageant.

I am Scottish-Italian with a bit of Hungarian but I get Brazilian

I'm half Italian and speak it but not sure I look Italian. It usually throws people off when I start speaking it.

No one ever guess my ethnicity. Everyone assumes I am Italian if not Greek (when they hear my maiden name) - sometimes I get Jewish or PR or Brazilian. I am none of them. My dad is Lithuanian (but born in Germany) and my mom is a mix but mostly French and English. No one ever guesses any of them.

I guess I'm the stereotypical Irish girl - red hair, blue eyes and very fair skin - but I am contstantly approached by the Orthodox jews when they are in the city around their holiday. I just had my first piece of babka cake yesterday and I would be prepared to convert for that alone

I am 50% irish- which no one ever belives
25% Italian and 25% siclian

I get spanish- from spain
Jewish- the name Beth doesn't help

and people always assume I am Italian - meaning I can speak it

if I had a dollar for every time I got asked if I was jewish and who did my nose- I would be very rich

when I travel outside of the US- no one ever thinks I am American- 2 women in London were talking about me and my sister in English trying to figure out where we were from - I turned around and told them NY- they were mortified!

I'm 100% Italian, and most times people guess correctly. I've also gotten Irish (because I have a very fair complexion) and I've gotten Greek sometimes (I think now that is mainly because I use my husband's Greek surname, though when I was single and went on vacation to Greece they all thought I was a native... I do not see it )

DH is half Irish and half Greek but most times people take him for Italian

I'm Italian/Polish and everyone assumes I'm Italian. Sometimes I get someone who says there's something European about me.

I am Italian, English, Dutch, Austrian and Native American.

No one has ever thought that I was English or Dutch.

I've gotten German because of my maiden name

based on looks, I've gotten Italian, Spanish, and Jewish.

I'm a total mix....
Mom - Italian, Irish, Scottish
Dad - French, Irish, German

I really don't have any major ethnic features. I think only once I was approached by someone thinking I was Jewish....other than that...no one has ever pointed anything out.

I'm 50% Italian and 50% American (Jewish). People mostly guess I'm Italian, but when travelling in Mexico, people usually assume I'm Mexican or Spanish. I'm sure the fact that DH is very dark skinned Italian helps them think I'm spanish too. People always try to speak Spanish to DH no matter where we are.
