I used it all the time and still do every day after a bath..She is now 21 months...

i used it for the first time under her neck yesterday J&J with cornstarch because of her reflux and wet bibs etc - her neck fold was REALLY red. my mom insisted i put powder on her and said all peds today are nuts - she used powder on all 3 of us and we're fine. i just puti it on my finger first and lift her neck and put it on. i felt so bad at how red she was

We use actual corn starch when his winky looks a little red...DH hates the smell of the baby stuff.
same here..they baby Baby powder made from corn starch

i also use it in the diaper. ds' booty was really red due to moisture after wiping and stuff. even though i do dry his behind w tissue, i also sprinkle baby powder as added assurance.

I thought you werent supposed to use it because the powder gets into their lungs
this is what I have heard too and also becasue it can promote yeast infections like a pp mentioned

I do, on his diaper area. When DS was born it was hot so he got a bad case of prickly heat and the doctor told us to use it on his neck and shoulders so it cant be that dangerous.
Its not that bad usually for full termers but he's a preemie like my DD so we have so many other concerns to factor
