I've used them on occasion. But usually I put her in her crib for a sec if I need to walk away.

OMG YES! Don't cut them off! Definitely attach it to the furniture as recommended - if will move all over the place as they squirm if you don't. I used it everytime I needed to leave her on it alone (even if its for only a minute.) Esp. now that she's mobile, its just safer.
And my DD loved the changing table and would sometimes fall asleep on it. I wasn't moving her - so I just strapped her in IMAGE
so cute! I wish my Dd would've fallen asleep so easily To answer the original question we don't use the ones on the changing station at home but I still left them there.

I dont use the belts on the changing table..I just tucked it under the pad
