Do you use your garage(s) for cars?

Just wondering how many people have a garage, and how many use their garage for their car. I don't have a garage, but I'd like to build one. If I do have one, it will definitely be used for cars. I've had garages in the past, and we always made sure we could fit a car in it.

we have a one car garage, unfortunately it only fits "stuff". We park in the driveway. I would like to fit a car in there one day. We're talking about extending to make make room for a car.

2 car garage. One side for my car and since DH is a contractor the other side is for tools and some of the boy's outside toys. DH wants to make a 3rd car garage for work.

We have a one-car garage and we keep our '72 Dart in there during the cold months, or if we have people over in the yard and need some extra space.

Our Subaru is DH's primary car so that's always in the driveway.

No in my family garages are not for cars they are for toys and by toys I mean all 4 motorcycles and the stuff to work in them.

No garage, but the landlord downstairs has two and one is used for one car and the other is used for pipes, etc (he's a plumber).

They also have 2 driveways that can fit 3 cars. One car is in the driveway. The other driveway stays empty most of the day They have a total of 7-8 cars (I can't keep count anymore) and there is never anywhere to park .

If I had a garage, I'd use it.

One of my life goals is to be able to use the garage for a car and not stuff.

3 car garage. We have 2 cars in there. Other spot for the kids bikes, toys, gardening stuff etc.

When we were in NC, the 2 car garage was big enough for 2 cars and storage (which is how we used it). Our 2 car garage here is barely big enough for 1 car so we only store our car in it during the winter months so we don't have to scrape the window or knock snow off. The rest of the year we park in the driveway.

Storage. Right now it is housing every play toy known to man from our backyard since we had to empty our backyard to have it rototilled. I have never put a car in a garage and growing up and as an adult have always had garages.

We have a 2 car garage (only looked at houses with 2 car garages) and both cars go in the garage.

yes, we have a 3 car garage. It has most of DH's landscaping equipment. I put my car in it during the winter.

We have a two car garage. My vehicle is in it every night. We only add my husbands vehicle in the winter when it is going to snow. He prefers to keep his car on the drive way. We can fit four cars on our driveway, although we only have the two. It is really nice for when we have visitors/company, but annoying to shovel. We have a lot of built in storage. So much, that we need to be conscious of the types of vehicles we buy so we can get in and out of the cars. The prior owner put it in, and I think made it a little too deep. But it is really nice to have because we have a lot of great storage too.

We have a two car garage. One of our cars goes in there and the rest of the space is for DH's workshop and DD's outdoor toys. I wish we could fit both cars in. It's so nice in the winter not having to clean off the car.

I wish I could. We only have a 1 car garage but since we have no basement, it's used to house all of our "stuff".

We have no basement and our attic space is a joke (crossbeams and only room to crawl - very hard to store much up there) so our garage is packed to the gills with stuff- along with TWO large shed in our yard.

Never again would I buy a house with no basement.

I'm in a co-op and I rent a garage.
My dad's car is in there, along with some of my gardening stuff, folding chairs and tables, beach chairs and umbrella. A plastic tote with some of DH's car stuff.

I've got to clean it out - my nephew's disassembled crib is in there along with the car seat that I had in my car. Given that my nephew is 18 now, I thin I can get rid of them.

DH's car is in the parking spot we also have and since I don't drive as much, my car is in the street.

We have a 1-car garage and right now it's being used to store all of DH's toys (2 kayakes, a motorcycle, 2 tool benches, a lawn mower and other lawn equipment, and the snowblower).

We just built a HUGE shed in the backyard that we're hoping to transfer a bunch of that stuff into so that I can at least park my car in the garage during the snowy and icy months since our driveway is practically vertical and impossible to park on. The long term plan though is to regrade the driveway and expand the garage into a 2-car within the next few years.

One car garage where we park the car. We have a basement for storage, which is rapidly filling up so I want to get rid of stuff but it never happens. Too much junk.

We keep stuff in our garage not our car lol we have a very long driveway and plenty of street parking so no need

One car garage which was originally for DH's motorcycle and "stuff". He sold the bike, so now it's more "stuff", no car

2 car garage and we currently just keep "stuff" in it. Hoping to clean out at least one side in the next few weeks to at least be able to put 1 car in there.
