Omg NO! 
It is a source of annoyance for me because my father is always trying to "educate" me because he disagrees with my views. I try to explain that just because I disagree with him, that doesn't mean I'm A. Ignorant or B. Wrong. Doesn't work, at all.
I got so many emails from him (with half-truths, none of them confirmed, mind you) that I no longer read them. I delete them. And when I told him that, he got very angry so I further told him I refused to discuss it anymore.
When it comes to that, I am the black sheep of the family. I refuse to be pressured into voting their way "because they say so".

Nope, my family is super liberal, they call me "princess" when i discuss politics. But, they are UBER conservative in their own lives - strange mix.

My father was a conservative with a secretly bleeding heart. My mother was a left winger with a secret facist streak. My oldest sister was a conservative, my next oldest was a liberal. My brother couldn't care less about anything that doesn't involve a ball and bases, feet or baskets. Me and my baby sister do not affiliate ourselves 100% with either major party.

No, no, no. My parents are pretty conservative, well my father is anyway. My mother doesn't follow politics and pretty much votes as he votes.
My father became Republican with Reagan though, before that he was a Democrat. So maybe some of that rubbed off on me.

Yes. My entire family has voted Republican since they came to this country although it is not the reason I vote that way. My mom is doing her part to ensure the FL remains red.

Same here, except, they are anti-abortion and i am pro-choice. My father used to be a die hard Democrat, but has said that the party has changed since he came to America some 35 years ago and I think he is very surprised and in a way, saddened, to be voting Republican. When I told my 90 year old grandfather, a die hard Republican, that i thought I would be voting republican this election he said "thank god - i can now die in peace" - yes, holidays are such a good time in my house - we don't even get past appetizers before the yelling starts!

I don't think my parents are hard-core party supporters on either side. They are registered Republicans out of deference to a relative who is a semi-big-shot in Nassau county, with the same name.
I know my dad is voting for Obama because he's always liked Joe Biden and he was also unhappy with the choice of Sarah Palin.

It depends. I am a registered Independent and consider myself bipartisan. I have voted both Democratic and Republican, so sometimes we do, sometimes we don't. My parents typically don't vote the same, though
