Towels & bed sheets - won't wash them any other way.
Any clothes is ALWAYS in cold.

Well its not the cold water that is better for the environment, its that using hot water in the wash uses a lot of energy.

I wash everything in cold and use Tide for Cold Water, except for sheets and towels which I wash in warm.

I have this fantastic cloth called an E-Cloth and it cleans stainless steel like no bodys business, and you have to wash it at 90 degrees on the boil wash. Also, on ocassion I wash my kitties bedding on boil wash.

I wash my whites in hot water. The setting on my machine is for "whitest whites" and it uses hot water. I really hate bleach so this is my alternative.
I have that setting on my washer as well...so I only wash whites in hot
