does anybody have friends that are ttc at the same time as you?

i have a friend who got pregnant with her first the same time as me . i told her that we were ttc and now she is too! Although i am grateful for dc to have playmates its becoming a compitition now!! who can get pregnant first and i am unfortunately cracking under pressure i am usually not like this AT ALL! but now ive become obseesed and i think this stress is ruining my chances! sorry to vent iam not this crazy i swear!

i am not in that boat...i am actually the only one of all my friends who is ttc. no one else has babies.

don't let the fact that she is ttc pressure you

my aunt told my mom that my cousin was ttc... idk how serious she is about it tho... ive been telling everyone were kinda winging it... if it happens it happens kinda thing... just because i dont want to answer the questions if it takes a while... and its just really no one elses business...

I'm the last of my friends to have a baby. My friends all have children in 1st grade and up already!

I was also the last of them to get married. Im a late bloomer, I guess.

My sister said she wants to ttc as well (she is younger but we r both married 2 yrs and her dh is older). Anyway it is not a competition but I may feel sad if she gets pregnant easily and I don't.

Ok but I think itd be so cool to have kiddies the same age but also I worry that my family members will say "umm did u plan it that way??!"

Try not to stress it though u know?

My friends are a mixed group.. some are on their 2nd already.. some are still single. I do have one that is right on the same page with me and honestly Im so thankful for her.... she understands my insanity lol

out of friends we are the only ones trying. none of our friends have children yet and as far as we know nobody is trying. we were the first to get married, buy a house and now ttc.

my DH's sister is trying for her third. since we got married i have been telling DH that when we are ready to try she will either come out to family as pregnant and steal our thunder or she will get pregnant with twins it's been a running joke between the two of us...

i was right she is trying now too - she is kind of downplaying it but then she slipped and said it was the 4th month they were trying...i will be honest and at first i was letting it get to me a little. it's not really because of SIL but more b/c of his parents. i wanted to be pregnant alone so that he'd have that special time with his parents and not have to share it with his sister who already had 2 pregnancies alone. i also don't want our pregnancies to be constantly compared and the same goes for our children if they are the same age. i would feel the same way if it was my own sister.

i am not in a race with her at all. i saw her in august and then again the end of september and i was kind of hoping she'd just be pregnant already so that i wouldn't be worrying about her "coming out" a few weeks before us. i would hate to know i was pregnant but not ready to tell family yet when she announces her pregnancy. i bet it will work out that way though whatever i worry about or don't want to happen always seems to happen hahahaha...

as for friends, i wish i had a friend to be pregnant with! i think with friends there is less comparing/competition/jealousy b/c you each have your own families around you.

for me, with family, i kind of wanted to be the only one but it doesn't seem to be in the cards.

My BFF is trying as well. She has a 3 yr old. When she had her first I was nowhere near thinking about trying.

I couldn't be more pleased that we are in this together. We compare symptoms together. We support each other when we get AF. We help each other with tips on TTC. I'm actually so happy we are going at it at the same time and I can honestly say that if she gets her BFP before me, I would be 100% thrilled for her.

Anyone else in my life....that would be a different story.

not that i know of, would be kinda nice to have babies the same time as one of my friends, but its also kinda exciting know that when i get prego that i wont have to share my moment with anyone else. cuz every other important moment in my life was shared with others.

I have a friend/co-worker that is a TTCing now as well. It's nice to have her around.

It has become a friendly competition and we joke around that we will be able to share our maternity wardrobe if we get pregnant at the same time.

She is on 'the bump' so we also share advice and info on TTCing.

ugh, i did. it was a "friend" that i decided i didn't want to be around anymore because she wasn't that nice. we're still connected by very close mutual friends. it came up. she was trying too, and it turned into a competition where she'd ask me if i was pregnant yet every time we'd talk. yuck she just had her baby at the end of august.

Nope I'm pretty much the last of all my friends to have a kid. There is one of my BM's who lives in a different state, she said that they were TTC but I think they have for a while so I'm not sure if there is a prob. I would LOVE it if we were preggers together!!!

I have a "friend"(her DH is very good friends w/mine) and she told me they werent preventing it from happening. IDK, at times I think it would be great & at other times I can see how it would be a PIA!!!

All of my bffs are, but none of them live near me so we just check in about it. 2 are trying for the 2nd, 2 for their first. It is not a competition at all because of the 2 trying for their first, they have been trying for over a year and one of the others that is trying for her 2nd has miscarried twice already. Of the girls I'm closest to that live near me. 1 just got engaged, so not TTCing, and the other two are already pregnant, one is due Sunday!!!!!!! It took both of them over 7 months to be successful, so I don't feel any competition and just lots of support.

Most of my friends are TTCing for #1 while we're TTCing for #2. One is pg already and got pg when I got pg, but I m/c. She was trying for a longer time than us, so I'm hoping that I get a BFP soon so we can have kids very very close in age at least my DC2 and her DC1..

I have three friends that began TTC at the same time as me....They are all pregnant now : (

I'm so happy for them, and really can't complain because I already have a beautiful boy, but I still get frustrated and feel "left out!"

So I understand!!!
