Does anyone bruise VERY easily?
I get bruiese from my knees down all the time between me kneeling on toys (ouch!) and hitting my leg on that tred runner when I put the kids into the truck. Then Saturday I noticed a decent size black & blue on my arm and now today a small on my forarm. I am breastfeeding and I notice that DD bruises easly also. So I don't know if their is any corrilation.

I always have at least one bruise. It's really bad. I'm very fair-skinned and bruise SO easily.
I have a doozie on my forearm now... though in fairness to me, it's from a horse at the barn biting me. (No, NOT one of my own, lol)

I have always bruised easily (clumsy too), DH does not, so I'm hoping DS takes after him.
I'm also fair skinned--I don't know if they show up easier if you are?

Me too....I always have black and blues on me and I never know where they come from. I am also very fair-skinned.

My mother does, she takes extra vitamins to prevent it. Check with your doctor, maybe you can take vit A B or C or something to prevent it.

I bruise extremely easily.
I don't know if my situation is isolated, however I am anemic. My doctor told me(and this was years ago) that due to my lack of iron, unless I took my supplements, I will always bruise easily.
I take iron now...and don't have that much of a problem.
Maybe try some iron supplements?

My mother and I both bruise very easily. We are very fair skinned (although she can burn withing 5 minutes wheras i have a bit more resistance to it).
I get huge, nasty bruises pretty frequently. The one weird thing though, is that my face never bruises. I've been hit in the face (by things... not people) a few times in my life and have never had so much as a black eye or any other mark. I've never understood that one

I get huge, nasty bruises pretty frequently. The one weird thing though, is that my face never bruises. I've been hit in the face (by things... not people) a few times in my life and have never had so much as a black eye or any other mark. I've never understood that one
Same with me. I didn't even bruise when I had my wisdom teeth removed (which for me was pretty invasive). The doctor said I would since I'm so fair and bruise so easily, but I never did.
The rest of my body - forget about it. I get what look like horrible bruises from almost nothing. In fact, I'm embarassed at the gym b/c I have one on my elbow (hit it on this stupid metal safety bar in the shower), one on my forearm (bitten by a horse last week at the barn), and one on my leg (couldn't tell you - but I bumped into something). I am always self-conscious about them. I keep expecting people to ask if I've been in an accident or something.

LOL I chuckled reading this.
Could you imagine what people thought of me? I wore a dress not realizing that I had bruises on my knees. I can only imagine what they were thinking of me.

I have always bruised easily. When I was younger they tested me for everything. They found out that my body doesn't make Vitamin K. I am supposed to take supplements but I don't

So I asked the pediatrician since I was there with the kids about my DD and she said it was normal if it was on her forarm and her shins. So I guess the same goes for me since I am her mom and am constantly the floor. Like Bicosi I also have a lot of bruises on my knee's so I try to keep them covered
