I've been so grouchy this year. I admit the Election and state of our world has me down. I've gone through the motions but I'm not really enjoying the usual stuff. I also have construction going on in my house that I stopped so we could have a some what normal Christmas. Nothing like seeing your decorations hanging up on one wall and studs on another. I wish I could say bring on the New Year but I know Jan 20th is right around the corner so I'll be grouchy all over again. I'll hopefully get excited on Saturday because my kids will be so excited.

Grumpy is my normal setting so it's business as usual for me.

My brother was not well for many years and we lost him this summer so this is my first official Christmas without him. It's weighing heavily on me, esp as we get closer.

Like everyone else, not enough time to get everything done. We went to Disney the first week of December and we've all been sick in some form ever since. I spent a week home being sick after vacation and I'm still not better. I lost two weeks right there. Both kids sick on and off since the beginning of November! DD stayed home from school today and maybe again tomorrow.

I love the holiday and always have such high hopes for the season and I'll be honest, that I usually end up disappointed, hurt, and sad for a number of reasons.
