Does anyone else get really nervous during the gaps b/t doc visits?
I think this is what is contributing to my insomnia. I can't sleep for days leading up to an appt-- and after, I can relax and sleep better.
I don't have my next appt until 8/26, but after my extremely bumpy glacier ride last week, I am so nervous that something went wrong.
I know-- I have not had any really bad cramping-- just the usual stuff and no bleeding. But, I can't help it.
Also, considering I am 15.5 weeks and I still am not showing-- I am only showing my lack of dieting and enlarged boobs-- I am nervous that the baby stopped growing or something.

TOTALLY felt the same way. I felt like this until I could finally feel the baby move (almost 22 weeks for #1) consistently.
Then I worried about other things happening to her during delivery. It never ends.

Yes, I get extreme anxiety in between Dr. appointments. I got so spoiled being with the RE and having weekly visits, that this has been a hard adjustment for me.

Re: Does anyone else get really nervous during the gaps b/t doc visits?
Yes, I have this issue...even now that I can feel the baby. I worry that I'm not feeling him enough or often enough and what if he's not okay in there? Earlier I worried about all the bloodwork and what might come back. Even though my doc doesn't call unless there is an issue, I worried my file got mixed up with someone elses. I am actually looking forward to going every two weeks soon.
I had major anxiety issues prior to pregnancy, and now I'm like over the edge. I haven't even allowed myself to think about the labor and delivery process yet.
Hang in there! And don't be shy to call the doc if something is nagging you - that's what they are there for. Trust me, I've had my share of calls.

Re: Does anyone else get really nervous during the gaps b/t doc visits?
I was like that. I could not sleep for more than 3 hrs each night, esp about 2 weeks before I had my level 2. I was so wound up.
Now since getting all good news on the level 2, I sleep like a baby at night, even fall back to sleep after getting up to pee.
speaking from experience, I think you will feel much better after your level 2 and you start feeling the baby move. I feel the baby move everyday, and DH and I felt external kicks for the first time Saturday night. That is so much more relieving than waiting to hear a heartbeat once a mth!

I am 24 weeks and I still get so nervous. I like it that she moves so much and I get nervous if i don't feel her kick. But I think it is very natural to get nervous.

Re: Does anyone else get really nervous during the gaps b/t doc visits?
I don't get as nervous now that I feel the baby move, but it's still hard to wait so long in between appointments, especially since I won't have another sono for quite a while.
I'm pretty sure my nervousness affected my blood pressure. My blood pressure was high the first few appointments and I think it's b/c the nurse took it as soon as I got there. It has been much lower when I have my blood pressure taken after a sono.

Re: Does anyone else get really nervous during the gaps b/t doc visits?
I get sooo nervous between appointments. The doc promised it would be better when I could feel the baby, and it is. Except that I don't always feel the baby every day yet and I freak out when I haven't felt the baby in a day. You are totally normal :)

Yes! I don't have an appointment until 8/28! I'm used to seeing my RE every week so this is very, very difficult!

I felt the same way. Pretty soon you'll start feeling some action in there and then you'll be freaking out when you don't feel that. There is always something to be worried about!

Yep. And I am sure I will feel that way until I can feel the baby move on a regular basis. I think I am going to get a doppler again....I loved it last time

With both I felt the same way, very anxious between appts. It's tough! I just tried to keep really busy and trust my body.

YES!! I get extremely nervous and anxious between the appts. I think the night after all my appts is the one night i get the best sleep ever! I really know how you feel. Forget the thought of sleeping tonight before my ultrascreen.

Re: Does anyone else get really nervous during the gaps b/t doc visits?
I totally went crazy between appointments before I started to feel the baby on a regular basis.
Even then, I still can't help but worry sometimes that something is wrong (like she's kicking out of distress). Though I know that's just me being nuts.

I did that with my first pregnancy. I don't have my first appointment this time until 9/5. I'm freaking out & I can't wait for it to get here.

Only when I was going once a month. Now that I am going once a week, I feel like I should be paying rent. Shoot my doc calls me "Clutzy" now since I fainted.

Re: Does anyone else get really nervous during the gaps b/t doc visits?
Definately- until I can feel this baby move, I know I will feel this way since I felt that way with DD.
Don't worry about not showing- I didn't show with my first pregnancy until about 20 weeks. The second I only just started showing at 13.5 weeks. I am sure you are fine

Re: Does anyone else get really nervous during the gaps b/t doc visits?
Yes...I'm 20 weeks and I don't really feel the baby so much so I get so nervous. I was going to call the doctor today to see if I can come in earlier just to hear the heartbeat.
