Does anyone else have a very picky eater?
I am desperately trying to get DS off jarred food but it is so hard. He will eat banana's, instant oatmeal, cheerios, home made mac and cheese, geber graduates apples, pears and peaches and thats it. I have tried brocolli, chicken, homemade meatballs/meatloaf, pasta with sause, peas, carrots, waffles, toast, grilled cheese, pancakes and nothing! He also dropped his afternoon bottle so now he only has 2 bottles a day, morning and evening and then 3 meals throughout the day. I just don't know what to give him. I try almost every day something new and he wont eat it. I am sure that since he doesn't eat dinner with us that that is part of the problem. He goes to bed at 7 and we dont eat until 7-8:30 and we can't eat earlier.

Try revisiting those foods. It can take quite a few tries for DS to get to like certain things. I am a firm believer in not forcing kids to eat something they don't like, but I think sometimes they need to be encouraged to try new things and acquire a taste for them.

I also suggest reintroducing the foods that he has rejected in the past. Some things that my DS rejects, he will eat a week or 2 later. My son loves to eat pastina. I know you tried giving him pasta with sauce. Maybe try making it differently. I make the pastina with chicken broth and put in an egg yolk, before I serve to him I sprinkle a little parm cheese and he gobbles it up.
