Does anyone else's crazy parents do this?
So, my mom asked me today what picture I used for my Christmas card and I told her and then asked why and she goes "Oh no reason" but with a "tone"
So, I ask again and she says "well, I think I ordered the same one, you know, to send out with my cards"
I had NO idea she sends out pics of my kid in her Christmas card
It doesn't annoy me, but would it annoy you?

Please take no offense, but it is not a grandmother's place to send your child's pictures to anyone without asking you first. I would be RIPPING mad if my MIL did that. My mother would never have done that.
ETA: She could have asked you to send it instead - that would have been fine. I just think its not her place.

Be grateful! That is so sweet that your mom loves your babies so much that she brags through her cards. My mom just passed away and I hate that I have to go through pregnancy and raise my chikdren without her. Really, that is adorable.

I should add that she is sending them to her friends, not people I send Christmas cards to, does that change your opinion?

Shows you and your mom think alike! I know my mom has sent a photo or two of DS to my Uncle out of state and I have not been upset at all

I think its soo cute! Shes obviously proud of her grandbabes! I dont think its weird, now if a stranger was sending out pics of ur kids thats diff but its grandma! :)

No I don't think it is strange - my mom takes one of our christmas photos and makes wallets out of it and sends it to her friends in their christmas cards - they are all old family friends so they know me but aren't people I send cards to. I don't have an issue with it. I know a lot of grandparents who send out pictures of their grandkids. Now if my MIL did it I'm not sure how I would feel but I don't care if my parents do it.

Hey, if that is strange, my parents want to take a few pics with DD and send them to some friends and relatives in their cards.
I actually send Christmas cards to a lot of my parents' friends, as the friends' kids do the same for my parents. Many of us grew up together so the grandparents all like to see each other's grandkids.

I agree. I would be furious!
I ask my mom if there is anyone she wold like us to send a holiday card, birth announcement, etc to.
It's not her place IMO.

Mine too! Actually they never did it. My dad will sometimes forward pics of the kids that I email to him. Thats about it.

I totally agree. My mom always sends pics of the grandkids to her friends....as long as they are not on my Christmas list!

I don't think its a big deal. I know plenty of my friends/family forward Jordana pictures that I send them. It doesn't upset me. I think its swee that they care about my DC so much they think their family (mostly parents) are interested in seeing her.
