Does anyone have parent/parents... (VENT)

that don't like to babysit.

I rarely ask my mom to babysit because I know she really doesn't want too. God forbid I ask her to babysit so my husband and I can go out to dinner or something. If I said we would be home by 9 my cellphone would be ringing by 9:01.

I'm just really po'd right now because my daughter is having a little sleepover birthday party Friday night my mother OFFERED to take my sons for the night so they wouldn't bother the girls (this was when the party for first planned a month ago). Now it is 2 days away and I'm getting "I don't know what I am going to do with them" and "I have Weight Watchers" in the morning. I said my husband would pick them up early (9 a.m.) so she could go to WW at 9:30 but that was "too late". I said "you shouldn't have offered" and she replied, "no, I shouldn't have."

I honestly hardly ever ask her to babysit(maybe 2x a year so we can go out for dinner), my kids never sleep over there, etc. If she stops by and I ask her if I can run to the store for 15 min. because my husband isn't home yet it's always "well hurry up." And again, the cellphone will start ringing if it gets to 16 minutes.

But when she needs something, my husband and I are supposed to jump.
