Does anyone have the HTC EVO 4 phone with Sprint?
My BF and I are slightly obsessed with this phone and I'm debating whether or not I should eat the cancellation fee from AT&T and then spend the money on a new phone and contract..... Tell me you hate it....please!
Im so fed up with AT&T and the idea of having to pay to cancel with them when I can't get service in my apartment is just driving me crazy!

Re: Does anyone have the HTC EVO 4 phone with Sprint?
The phone is amazing! (although I'm not sure that is what you want to hear! )
It's fast. Our area is going to be getting the 4G network by the end of the year, so it will be even faster!
I compare it to my BlackBerry and the web experience is awesome! I can do all my LIFing from it!
You have the Android market where you have thousands and thousands of free apps to download.
I really can't say enough great things about it.
Sprint also has another 4G phone coming out next week called the Samsung Epic 4G. Main difference is that it has a slide out keyboard if you don't like the virtual keyboard.
Let me know if you have any questions!

This is pretty much what I expected to hear I just checked my contract with AT&T and since it isn't up until 8/11 my early term. fee is $325 minus $10 for each month completed in the term. It works out to be about $205. That on top of the $200 for the new phone...sheesh! I managed to get out of the term fee of $200 with Tmobile b/c they admitted that service was poor in my area and it was documented in their system but then they tried to back track...in the end, they never charged me the fee. I doubt I'll be so lucky with AT&T
I REALLY want this phone!
Thanks for the feedback though!

Re: Does anyone have the HTC EVO 4 phone with Sprint?
Couple of things to consider....
If you don't get service where you live, you can definitly call customer care and try to get connected with the right person who might be willing to let you out of your contract.
The other thing is that if they won't let you out of the contract, think about how much you would save per month by switching to Sprint. If you were to save $10-$20 per month in the plan itself, it might be better to take the hit on the cancellation fees and switch.
Just something to consider!

I know..this is how I went about it with Tmobile BUT with AT&T I know how the convo will go down. They probably get so many calls each day about their crappy service and I get flyers that say they are adding more towers blah blah...lol I pay $92 a month right now ( I get a discount through my union) and that includes the data plan, unlimited texting and all that jazz. You think Sprint is cheaper?

I heard about the Epic. I like the Solstice too. Samsung has come out with some really cool phones! It never ends though!! Like everything else, just when you find something you like something new comes out!

Personally, I find the Epic fits in your hand better than the EVO does. The Epic has more rounded corners and the EVO is more rectangular so it's harder for me to hold.
Also, as someone who primarily uses a Blackberry, I really like the slide out keyboard so that I can feel the buttons on the Epic, where you have the virtual keyboard on the EVO.
Both phones have the Android market, both phones can become a wi-fi hotspot, both phones are 4G. I think it really comes down to what you prefer look/feel/style wise!

The Blackberry Torch is pretty cool too!
Is that only available through AT&T though?

Re: Does anyone have the HTC EVO 4 phone with Sprint?
DH and I LOVE this phone. We were also becoming fed up with AT&T and started looking into other providers then the phones, we did tons of research on the EVO and decided to cancel with AT&T and get the EVO. We had the iphones initially and we both sold those phones for more than we paid for them so not only did it cover our cancellation fees with AT&T but it also helped with the EVO cost. We were offered a rebate on the EVO's as well.
DH and I love these phones. We can even video chat if we want to. The phone offers full version free apps and tons more than the iphone did. We have not had a problem with the service.
If you do decide to go with this phones. I think that you will love it!

Initially I found the EVO alittle cumbersome but I quickly got used to it. It is slightly larger than the iphone but, I have to say I do love the EVO!

Speak with Alex. He is the Asst. Manager.
He was AWESOME. He made it possible to get two phones for DH and I within one week!

DH does, he loves the phone and sprint! Its a really cool phone and awesome apps. FYI the battery dies very quickly make sure you get a car charger (if you drive)
I have sprint too and never had a problem with Sprint. I had At&T before I switched and I hated the service, I never had any bars and my calls always dropped.
I know that didnt help you out much!

Re: Does anyone have the HTC EVO 4 phone with Sprint?
I have it. LOVE it...it has turned me into tech junkie. I switched from Verizon to Sprint and so many people told me that would be a mistake, but two months into my new contract with Sprint, I have no complaints!
The phone itself is phenomenal. There are tons of apps available and the camera takes such great photos that I haven't used my digital camera since I bought the Evo.

I am totally drooling over teh Epic. As much as I love my Blackberry, I would totally surrender it for the Epic.
Now it's trying to convince DH that it is worth the additional $10/month,......

Re: Does anyone have the HTC EVO 4 phone with Sprint?
I have it . . .I HATE the battery life. It dies at the most inopportune times. . . and I charge it EVERY night! Other than that, I LOVE it! I love that I can get on anything. The Android market isn't as good as the i tunes market - I have better apps on my itouch, but hopefully it will build up!
