Does anyone have Verizon for internet?
Hi. I'm thinking of switching to Verizon for internet service. I'm a little nervous because they told me that I need to install it myself. Is it difficult to do? What do you think of their service?

You are getting DSL, it is simple to install.
My MIL has it and is happy!!!

DSL or FiOS? Either one is pretty easy. I've had both, but FiOS is sooooo much better than DSL. DSL was through Verizon, but I had to have the phone off the hook most of the time to get it to work. Of course, that meant that whenever I called tech support for help with the land line (cell phones don't get good reception in the house), the DSL always worked... 
I think that was a very unusual case, though, because I could never find anything about it on the Internet, no matter how I searched, and I can usually find anything on the web...
What do you have now for Internet? Dial-up?

Yes, believe it ir not, I still have dial up. I've heard mixed reviews about Verizon so I'm not sure if I should sign up for internet through my cable company.

I have it. After we figured out why we weren't getting the correct speed, its been working beautifully!!
